About Blue von Bovenau

Blue von Bovenau is a very handsome and charming 4-5 year old Husky. Blue was lying on a restaurant patio being doted on by little kids when our staff noticed him, only to find out that he was a stray. They brought him back to the rescue for temporary safekeeping and contacted his owner, who had moved and said she could no longer care for him. He met a small fry puppy through a cage and wagged so sweetly. We were taken with his overall kind and calm demeanor, defying the higher-energy stereotype of some Huskies. Thus Blue became a Westside dog! And he hasn't disappointed, as he has been good with all people and other dogs he's met, he's just not for cats. This boy is a favorite of our volunteer dog walkers, some days he's out of his kennel all day. Blue walks beautifully on leash, staying happy yet focused on his handler, takes snacks very gently, and knows his Sit, Down, Shake and Come commands. And he is great in playgroups, happy to be included, with a gentle play style. He is housebroken, and lived with a toddler. Blue is ready to meet and charm you and your family.
