(DOB 11/02/2025) Due to Sammy's young age, she has not been spayed yet. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within a 1-hour drive time of Wake Forest NC). Sammy is a confident little lady with star power written all over her! This spunky girl loves to strut her stuff, soak up attention, and make sure all eyes are on her. With her playful prance and bold personality, Sammy brings fun, flair, and excitement everywhere she goes. Maybe Sassy Sammy (wink, wink) will be her nickname! Adding to her charm is Sammy's beautiful, sleek 'Lab-style' coat that is shiny, smooth, and absolutely stunning, with the cutest tiny white spot on her chest that makes her even more irresistible. She truly sparkles inside and out. Sammy loves food and snacks and is treat-motivated which makes training a fun and rewarding experience! Puppies are like sponges at this age and learn quickly so spend time daily as she's easily redirected with positive reinforcement. Like many puppies, she's a bit of a toy hog (she believes in more is better philosophy) and proudly claims her favorites, so her forever family should be ready to continue teaching polite play and sharing skills as she grows. This social girl thrives on play, structure, and engagement. Daily walks, enrichment, training, and new experiences will help her channel her energy and confidence into becoming a well-rounded adult. She loves romping with other dogs and needs a forever home with a playful canine companion who can match her enthusiasm and help her burn off energy. A secure, fenced yard is required for Sammy so she can safely zoom, prance, and show off her athletic moves. Because she's still young, she also needs someone home a good portion of the day to help with potty training, playtime, and outings. Long stretches alone or crated just aren't appropriate for her yet. When the fun winds down, Sammy is happy to relax and recharge, ready to do it all again tomorrow. If you're looking for a bright, confident puppy with personality for days, Sammy may just be your shining star. Young puppies are wonderfully adaptable and often take cues from the pets already in the home. For this reason, we do require at least one other playful and confident dog in the home for Sammy to bond, play, learn, and grow up with! With gentle introductions and a cat that is open to adjusting, puppies typically do very well living with feline friends. Puppies are still learning about the world and can be bouncy, mouthy, and full of joyful energy. For this reason, homes with very young children may find the puppy stage a bit challenging. With loving adult supervision at all times, puppies and children can learn to grow together safely and happily. As part of Sammy's $325 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email: [email protected]. If you wish to adopt Sammy, you can complete an application online for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org.
