About Samwise

Every great story needs a hero, and while some are born to kings, others are born with the heart of a gardener and the loyalty of a true friend. Meet Samwise, a courageous Lab and Shepherd mix who joined our world in September 2025. Though he may not be a Hobbit, he certainly shares the spirit of one. A Gardener at Heart Samwise is a simple soul who finds joy in the golden rays of the sun and the rich earth beneath his paws. Much like his namesake, he is quite fond of 'gardening'-which mostly involves digging for the finest sticks the Shire has to offer. When he isn't busy landscaping, you can find him basking in the sunlight or happily engaging with his collection of toys. He is a master of the simple pleasures, and he'll never turn down a good cuddle session after a long day of adventuring. Training for the Journey A traveler must be prepared for the road ahead. Samwise has already mastered the arts of Siting and Fetching, showing he has the focus of a Ranger. He is currently 80% of the way through his crate training-his own personal hole on Bagshot Row, where he learns to rest. He is diligently working on his leash skills for the long paths that lie ahead and while he hasn't quite figured out the magic of a doggy door yet, he is a quick learner with a heart of gold. Seeking His Fellowship Samwise is a social creature who believes that 'the road goes ever on' is a trip best taken with friends. He thrives on attention and dislikes being left to face the shadows alone. The Fellowship: He is looking for a home where he can have a constant companion. His ideal 'Fellowship' would include another active dog to play with and a family that can offer him plenty of engagement. The People: He is exceptionally fond of men and is ready to be a loyal right-hand pup. The Realm: He currently resides in a house, but his foster believes he could adapt to an apartment in Crickhollow provided his family is active and takes him on plenty of quests. The Great Unknown: His feelings toward cats, children, or other dogs (large and small) are still a mystery to be discovered, as he hasn't met many on his travels yet. Could You Be His Frodo?
