Kobe is a great and loving dog but he needs a very active home that will match his energy, keep him engaged, and out of trouble. We are moving and cannot take him with us. We rescued him from a family that abused and neglected him quite badly. He was often left without food and water which makes him very food motivated (and food protective). He was chained up and left outside in all weather; he still needs some housebreaking training. The children of that family threw rocks and yelled at him so a family with young children would not be a good fit for him. He was also used as a stud dog for breeding before we took him home. We were working with Kobe and he was becoming gentler with people (me and my 2 teens) but frequently fought with my oldest dog. After he was neutered, he calmed down a lot. But Kobe is the classic husky escape artist. He likes to dig and managed to dig under our fence and get out of our yard. That has gotten him in trouble with the city after he was accused of killing the neighbor's goats. Because of this, he is at risk of being put down if we cannot rehome him to an appropriate situation. We do not want him put down. He does not deserve that. We truly want Kobe to have a good, loving family and a long, safe life. We love Kobe very much. It kills us that we can't continue to provide that loving home for him. He is truly worth it.
