Update: Not even 24 hours that's all the time sweet Mina was given before the call came to return her. My heart sank listening to the reasons. Mina pulled on the leash and barked at a dog across the street. She excitedly jumped onto the couch. In that moment I thought to myself wow, this girl still has life in her. After 1 year waiting for someone to say yes, Mina was judged in less than a day. I tried to explain that dogs need time to decompress. She had barely been there 24 hours. I asked if they would please give her three weeks to settle in, to feel safe, to understand this was finally her home. But they weren't willing to give her that chance. They said there was 'no connection.' How can you expect a dog who has waited a whole year for love to instantly feel safe in a brand-new place? The person who cared for Mina while she was boarding said she is one of the sweetest souls and was shocked when they heard she was being returned after only a day. A beautiful foster stepped forward that just adopted a dog and said Yes to Mina, they opened their arms , no judgement only loving arms . However Mina deserves a family of her own and i am praying this post reaches them . Please text me and I will show you videos and more pictures . She is truly something special . Honestly the adopters that return her didn't deserve Mina. Mina deserves someone who sees the beauty in her spirit - a girl who still has joy, who gets excited, who happily hops onto the couch because she wants to be close to her person or to see what is going on out the window . She is sweet, loving, and full of life, and she deserves a family who won't judge her after a single day but will love her for the rest of her life. Mina is still looking for her forever home. Someone patient. Someone kind. Someone who will give her the time she deserves. Please help us find the person who will finally say 'Mina, you're home.' Sweet Senior Alert Mina is looking for her forever Valentine Mina's story is truly heartbreaking. After a lifetime of love, she was surrendered when her owner became homeless. In her golden years, she didn't just lose her home-she lost the only family she had ever known. Now this gentle, soulful girl waits quietly, hoping someone will choose her and show her that she still matters. Mina has been waiting over a year for her chance. She watches her younger friends leave for their forever homes, one by one, while she remains behind. Right now, she is in boarding, kenneled for most of her day and it breaks our hearts. Mina deserves freedom, soft beds, and loving hands-not a cage and long, lonely hours. We are praying her angel sees this post and says yes to sweet, chill Mina. Mina also carries what many rescuers sadly call the 'black dog curse.' Statistically, black dogs are often overlooked in shelters and rescues, passed by again and again simply because of their color. It's an unfair disadvantage, and it breaks our hearts to see such a beautiful, gentle soul go unseen for so long. Her bio: Mina is a 13-year-old, healthy, beautiful senior with so much love left to give. She is affectionate, loyal, and truly an A+++ girl. She is housebroken, crate trained, and one of the sweetest pups you could ever meet. Mina loves the simple things-cozying up next to her people, watching TV, and just being near the ones she loves. She is calm, gentle, and laid-back. Like many seniors who have lost everything, she does have some separation anxiety, but she has already been improving with patience and reassurance. A home with someone retired, home often, or working from home would be perfect for her. She deserves to spend her golden years surrounded by warmth and love-not kenneled hours a day , no life for a senior girl. Please consider asking sweet Mina to be your pot of gold. She will fill your life with quiet love, loyalty, and gratitude. You truly will not regret it.
