Dog friendly, and seems to be Cat friendly WE NEED AN ADOPTER OR FOSTER AND RESCUE FOR 'FLORENCE'! Humane Society of Imperial County, El Centro, So Cal Florence - ID #26-0032 (mom) This dear young chow momma was found dumped along with one female puppy and brought to a remote shelter who contacted us for help, since they rarely have adopters come. Therefore, a foster and rescue is likely needed for each, but either may also be adopted. The shelter let us know the two do not need to go together. Momma Florence is estimated to be only 1 year old and weighs 43 lbs but may be slightly underweight. The shelter said she is 'people friendly and dog friendly'. They gave us some nice videos showing her being pet all over her face and mouth, as well as being calm around a cat. We have a separate post up for Sadie (ID # 26-0026) who is estimated to be 3 months old, weighs 20 lbs, and more skittish at this time. She is said to be fine around cats, and believed to be part shepherd too from her daddy who is unknown. Both dogs have no reported medical issues.
