Both seem to be Cat friendly WE NEED AN ADOPTER OR FOSTER AND RESCUE FOR EACH DOG/PUP, THEY DO NOT NEED TO GO TO THE SAME HOME OR FOSTER OR RESCUE. MOMMA APPEARS TO BE A PUREBRED CHOW, WHEREAS HER PUPPY SEEMS TO BE MIXED, POSSIBLY WITH A SHEPHERD. Humane Society of Imperial County, El Centro, So Cal Florence - ID #26-0032 (mom) Sadie- ID #26-0026 (puppy) This dear young chow momma was found dumped along with one female puppy and brought to a remote shelter who contacted us for help, since they rarely have adopters come. Therefore, a foster and rescue is likely needed for each, but either may also be adopted. Momma Florence is estimated to be only 1 year old and weighs 43 lbs but may be slightly underweight. The shelter said she is 'people friendly and dog friendly'. They gave us some nice videos showing her being pet all over her face and mouth, as well as being calm around a cat. Puppy Sadie is estimated to be 3 months old, weighs 20 lbs, and more skittish at this time. She is said to be fine around cats, and believed to be part shepherd too from her daddy who is unknown. Both dogs have no reported medical issues. For direct adoption inquiries, please call the shelter directly at: 760-352-1911 and reference their applicable ID. The dogs will be spayed for a home.
