About FERN

PLEASE NOTE! Fern has cerebral hypoplasia (CH) also known as wobbly cat syndrome. Fern must be adopted by a family with a one story home. Important features of CH: l. Non-progressive, non-contagious congenital brain condition. 2. Common symptoms are jerky, uncoordinated movements, tremors, and high-stepping gaits. 3. There is no cure but CH cats can live a happy, normal life span with minimal supportive care such as non-slip flooring and raised food dishes. From her foster mom: Fern loves playing with her string toy, swatting at toys, being snuggled in her person's arms, and just having quiet conversations with whoever will listen. She especially enjoys watching TV while having her ears and neck scratched. She is an entertaining, funny, and affectionate kitten. In her foster's home Fern got along with other kittens, and loved the family's quiet, kitten friendly dog.
