We are helping the owner of Bear to network him and find him a good home. She writes'| Bear has been with me about 2 years, I was told her was 2 when we got him. I do not have any medical records or background on bear, although the women I got him from said he was seen and got shots at Maricopa Veterinary. There was an elderly lady in the neighborhood that had like five dogs and the other ones were big dogs and I guess they were aggressive towards Bear so The woman had him like locked in a bedroom and he was scratching the walls and doors and going crazy so I took him with the intention of fostering to find him a home. Well of course after he was with us for a few weeks we all fell in love so we stopped looking for a home and just kept him. We had three cats and two little dogs in the home and small children in and out of the home on a regular basis and he did great. He is very timid around new people and runs away barking. My other dogs are all cage trained so when we first got him we tried to crate him and he tore up the plastic flooring in the bottom of the crate and scooted the crate across my wood floor of course damaging the floor and so we never crated him again. He absolutely loves to go for a walk with his leash, which he has a regular collar and a harness that would come with him. His favorite thing is to play catch He loves a tennis ball and if you throw it he brings it right back to you, He likes to play a little tug of war before he surrenders it but he'll run back and forth a hundred times if you're willing to throw the ball that much. He's a total cuddle bug and wants to lay in bed with you at night but when I'm ready for sleep I tell him Bear go lay in your bed and he gets down and goes in his bed. He has broken loose once at the park when my daughter was walking him but he literally ran straight home. As you can imagine this is hard on my family but I know it's going to be hard on Bear, I am totally his person, Even though I have a teenager and a partner in the house, he follows my every move all day long all around the house, He comes to me to go outside, he comes to me for water he comes to me for love He seems to be a one person kind of guy. As I stated though he has lived in a house the last 2 years with other pets and kids and did just fine with everyone!
