Meet Maisie: approximately 12 years young, 45 pounds of lab-mix loveliness, and living proof that age is just a number (especially if you forget it every few minutes - which she might). Maisie has been with the rescue for more than 14 months, and we've all agreed: she's not just a dog, she's a vibe. A little pacing? Sure. A touch of dementia and some liver issues? Yep. But is she happy? Absolutely. Alert? You betcha. A drama queen about her meds and special food? Not even a little. She's as chill as they come - no worries. This sweet gal is what we call 'low-maintenance luxury.' She enjoys the finer things in life: leisurely garden strolls (with time to sniff every. single. leaf.), sunbathing like it's a competitive sport, and receiving pets like royalty - often leaning in so you really get the message: more, please. Maisie may not be up for marathons, but she's an expert in emotional support and companionship. Her favorite hobbies include: Sniffaris through the neighborhood (nose first, questions later) Long naps in warm spots Thoughtfully staring at the wall (possibly contemplating the meaning of life�'�| or kibble) Resting her head on you like the living weighted blanket she is She requires meds and special food to keep her joints limber, her liver happy, and her mind as sharp as it can be - and she handles it all like the unbothered queen she is. Maisie is looking for a loving retirement home where she can proudly display her quirky self.
