Fergus is a fun guy who has a lot of energy. He loves to run in his fenced in yard, sprawl in the sunshine, and loves playing fetch with his ball. Fergus is a terrier so he likes to chase squirrels and birds. It is important that he is leashed or in a fenced in yard, as his recall once on the chase is not good. Fergus likes to be active. He is a great hiking companion. As he ages he does know to rest though, and will happily lay in the living room after a good run outside. Fergus enjoys playing outside and wandering the yard. He likes routine and rhythm as well. Fergus would thrive in a home without children and with adults that know how to handle a dog with some behavioral issues. Fergus is nippy and can snap when he feels threatened, surprised, or cornered. Because of this Fergus should not be in a home with children. He would love a yard that he can get his energy out in. He is a great outdoor adventure dog and would make a wonderful hiking companion. Fergus went through basic obedience class when he was young, and is house-trained and crate-trained. Fergus is an anxious dog who gets fearful at times and can nip or bite if he feels threatened or startled. He needs someone who is knowledgeable about this kind of behavior. Fergus is up-to-date on all shots and is neutered. He is microchipped, and has no medical conditions or dietary needs. Fergus requires an adult owner who knows how to care for and train reactive behaviors.
