About 'Gracie' Grace Rose

Adoption Fee: $100
Rhodesian Ridgeback mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Age 2 years 9 months. Breed: Rhodesian Ridgeback {All of her vaccines are up to date & Vet records provided) Gracie is high energy and strong willed, but she follows both verbal and hand commands. (will provide list upon adoption.) She is great with kids and loves to play & lay with them. Really good with other dogs, once she gets to know them. She's loving an suer sweet. She loves to be near you and pets and cuddles. She has a lot of energy and needs to get out and lay and run or at least have play room in the house. She's got an amazing sense of smell and a heart of gold. She does better with smaller groups of dogs as she was attacked by sone dogs in late October and was hurt pretty bad but she's doing so good now. We live out in the country and she doesn't like gunshots if she's outside. There is some trauma there for sure. Right after I adopted her she got out and got lost & was attacked by dogs, we believe the owner of the dogs shot her so she's not a fan of gunshots around her. She does really well in the house as long as you're home, but she does not like to be crated, You'll likely need a clear space for her where she can't tear anything up if you leave her loose when gone. She gets really sad about being left alone in the house. We had a break-in and she went out the window after them and got cut uo a bit, but she's healed well. If you crate her she will try to tear it up so you need a heavy duty crate. She is a sweet girl, but with me living near a gun range it has made things difficult for her. She's not aggressive, but she does get an attitude sometimes when she can't have her way, like most young dogs, she's full of personality. She loves treats and gets the zoomies when playing! Fun to watch, and then she lays down ready to relax. She only really barks when someone comes to the house or is on the property, she's goose about not barking. She wines when you leave and when she's been put in timeout. She will come with some clothes, toys and other supplies. She needs to be in a place where PTSD isn't terrorizing her. She chews up her things when she's ma, so when in timeout don't give her anything that's not a rubber or sturdy toy. She really is a good dog, but living here is just not good for her, unfortunately. She's a great guard dog but more of a love muffin than anything. feel free to email me with any questions or shoot me a text.
