Transport help may be available. * 4 year old Labrador Retriever mix * weighs 54 pounds * not neutered yet but he will be * heartworm negative * owner surrender - owner is in hospice care * kid friendly - all ages * house trained * friendly - greets you at his door with tail wags * welcomes all pets and attention * easy to leash and walk * attentive and wants to please * knows the sit command * well mannered * loves back scratches and pets * happy, friendly, loving, gentle, affectionate Sweet Maverick has found himself at the shelter after his sick owner went into hospice due to their health. He is very overwhelmed in the shelter environment as he doesn't understand what's going on. Maverick is a sweet boy who simply wants someone to love and show him some compassion. He is anxious in the kennel as the shelter is an unfamiliar place and he is missing home. He was happy to get extra love and attention and crawled right up into my lap. We were told he enjoys car rides, fetch, toys and being a lap dog. He is a sweetheart who simply wants a home and love as he sure is missing it. Our shelter is full Maverick needs you asap!
