About Ember

Meet Ember, a beautiful and petite seven-year-old tortie with a soft heart and a gentle soul. She came to our rescue with seven other cats after a devastating house fire in Ansonia just before Christmas. When the family's home caught fire, the cats were left behind to fend for themselves in a space that was suddenly unsafe and unfamiliar. Despite everything she's been through, Ember has held onto her quiet spirit and is now ready for a fresh start in a furever home. Ember is incredibly sweet, gentle, affectionate, and enjoys the companionship of humans and other kitties. She may take a little time to settle in as she adjusts to new surroundings, but once she feels safe and comfortable, her affection shines through. Ember will softly rub up against you to ask for pets, showing her trust in the most tender and heartwarming way, and will happily stay close, offering a calm, comforting presence that makes a house feel like home. She does wonderfully with other cats and would be happy being adopted alongside one of her housemates, joining a home with another friendly kitty, or even as your one-and-only if the environment is right. Ember is the kind of cat who offers a soothing presence and deep, meaningful affection to those willing to give her the time and love she deserves. Her adoption fee is $225 and Ember is vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, and will be spayed soon.
