Meet Wolfie %BD%BD%90%BD%BD%BDͻ Wolfie is one of six puppies who were heartbreakingly abandoned at the end of my driveway in mid-July 2025. When I found them, they were very young and in rough shape, but with care, consistency, and lots of love, Wolfie has grown into a healthy, happy, and affectionate young dog. Wolfie appears to be a German Shepherd mix with thick, long fur and a gentle, loving personality. He's currently about 5 months old, weighs approximately 40-50 pounds, and may grow a bit larger as he matures. This sweet boy is: Affectionate and people-oriented - he loves kisses, belly rubs, and being close to his person Gentle and laid-back, especially compared to his littermates Smart and eager to please - he already sits nicely for treats Respectful for his size - he very rarely jumps, and when he does, it's more of a gentle 'lean-in' for affection Wolfie has been raised indoors and is doing well with potty training on a consistent schedule. He understands going outside, but like many puppies his age, he may still have occasional accidents if left alone for long periods. He has never been crate trained and will need leash training, which he should pick up quickly with consistency and patience. Health & care: First round of puppy vaccinations completed Dewormed Not yet neutered or microchipped (would be handled by adopter or rescue) Socially, Wolfie has primarily been around his littermates and a small number of adults. He has shown no aggression, including no food aggression, and has a calm, easygoing temperament. He does show some mild separation anxiety, which is common in German Shepherd-type dogs, especially those raised closely with their litter. He is still very young and adaptable, and this is something that can be improved with routine, training, and reassurance. Wolfie would thrive in a home that can offer: Time, structure, and positive training Plenty of affection and companionship A commitment to helping a smart young dog grow into his best self German Shepherd experience is a plus, but not required - what Wolfie truly needs is love, patience, and stability. Wolfie is a beautiful soul who has already overcome a rough start in life. He's ready to bond deeply with his person and become a loyal, devoted companion. If you're looking for a loving young dog with a gentle heart and so much potential, Wolfie may be the one you've been waiting for.
