Name: Oreo Age: 8-10 months Breed: Border Collie/Lab Mix (31 lbs) Sex: Female (Not Spayed) Location: Norway, SC Puppy Oreo needs loving help! She is so sweet! She needs a chance with a family who can accommodate her special needs. Vet info: Oreo is blind in her left eye (likely due to traumatic injury) with no pupillary response to light and has high pressures resulting in her needing a left eye enucleation. She is not microchipped. She has gotten a rabies shot. Her blind eye doesn't slow her down. She's current with vaccinations, but hasn't been heartworm tested. She is currently going through 5 days of dewormer treatment for hookworms. Her stools are normal, eating and drinking fine, and going to the bathroom as normal. She is also currently on eyedrops. Dog info: Oreo came to her owner as a stray on Christmas Day 2025. She is super sweet. She is an indoor dog confined to one area of the house. She is housebroken, learning recall, and to 'sit'. She is not currently leashed trained, but is learning to walk on leash. She is outgoing and good with men, women, teenagers, younger children, and both male and female dogs, although bigger dogs intimidate her. She is unsure, but curious of cats. She is also crate trained. She seems to resource guard toys, but if very easily redirected. No bite history of humans or animals. She seems to lack understanding of social cues and correction from other dogs, but again, is easily redirectable. Owner let her interact with cats and she did great. Kid friendly! Potty trained if let out on routine. Shouldn't be left unsupervised inside home due to potential for chewing as she's still a puppy. Loves belly rubs and giving kisses! **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them. These dogs are with their owners and are not in BDRA foster homes. We do our best to screen these dogs, but make no guarantees regarding the information posted.** Please email [email protected] if you are interested in this sweetheart.
