About Boone

Boone is a master snuggler. He loves to be by your side and cuddle. He loves to play, go on walks, run, and play fetch. He LOVES toys. Boone would be best in a home with a yard so he can zoom and play fetch and just roll around in the grass. Boone plays hard, loves hard, sleeps hard. He does great being home alone and is a great 'self-player.' He has one of those magical bladders and can hold it for a long time. Boone LOVES car rides and hikes. He will play and play, and sleep and sleep. He's not an early riser who will wake you: If you're in bed, so is he! He loves to snooze upside-down. It's adorable. Boone is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. The vet suspects he has a mild beef allergy, but all other food is fine. Loves salmon, lamb, chicken/turkey, pumpkin, peanut butter, etc. He's totally cooperative with nail-trimming. He is a healthy, beautiful dog. Boone is 100% housetrained and is very obedient to basic training commands. On walks, he's more distracted, but with high-value treats, he'll refocus and listen. He sometimes pulls on the leash, but he's improving. He's on alert when he sees a small dog, a cat, or a squirrel, but doesn't bolt. It is best for Boone to be the only dog in the home, and no cats. Boone is looking for a patient person or family who can help him feel secure when meeting new people. Boone can be nervous and reactive to new people, so slow introductions are key. Once he understands the person is welcome and friendly, he's as friendly as can be. It wasn't an option to select 'unknown' in terms of being good with kids, but I want to disclose that this is unknown. He's probably great with kids once he's had the proper introduction.
