About Jenny

Adoption Fee: $100
Anatolian Shepherd mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

We tried to foster Jenny through our local shelter but they said their policy was to adopt out but we could return her if she didn't work out with our family. Now that we have had time to learn more about her, the shelter is full and we don't want them to euthanize her. She is far too wonderful for an outcome like that. Jenny needs to be the only pet in the house. She is aggressive with our female dog and I think the only reason she isn't that way with our male is because he is a Great Dane and far larger than her 90 lb. self. Jenny walks gently on the leash and is always keeping an eye open for danger. She has a beautiful smile when she is happy and loves belly rubs. Jenny could roam the yard all day but will need a fence or training to keep her where she is supposed to be. She is crate trained for when we are gone and does well, however when at the vet or at boarding she does not do well in the crate. She has the usual separation anxiety. Jenny did test positive for heart worms but has undergone treatment to fix this. She has been around larger children and has done wonderful. While never tested with livestock, I do not think she will do well with anything smaller than her. Jenny really just wants to stay home with someone all day and get belly rubs. If you can allow her to be the only pet and take her on adventures, she is your girl. She really deserves the best.
