About Ember

Ember is a sweet timid 4 yr old Dalmatian breeding mama. She is tenative of her surroundings at first but warms up and gives the sweetest kisses. She surprisingly warms up to kids the easiest, which is not always the case with dogs who have had very little socialization. She is most timid with men, but will warm up eventually. She walks well on a leash once she is confident in her surroundings. She is mostly house trained and does great in a crate. She is curious and inquisitive and wants to be a part of everything her foster mom is doing. She can be dog selective, we can't really figure out why. It seems she is just overwhelmed by their attention, and �%BE of our dogs are very interested in any foster that comes to our house. She and our 13 yr old lab pretty much ignore each other. She would do best with a physical fence at least 4 ft high as she is quite agile and easily and gracefully jumps gates in the house, unless her adopter is committed to walking her several times per day. She does not seem to have the high energy her breed is known for but she is also still settling in to life in a home with people who want to love on her. She has not been tested with cats.
