About Journey

(DOB 11/29/2019) Journey a gentle soul on a beautiful path toward a life filled with love, safety, and belonging. True to her name, Journey is ready for her next chapter, one where kindness, patience, and loyalty lead the way. If you're looking for a velcro dog who will follow you from room to room just to be sure everything is okay, Journey is your girl. She showers her people with kisses, adores being close, and forms deep, meaningful bonds. Smart, submissive, and incredibly sweet, she is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart and never gives it back. Journey greets new people with a wagging tail and a warm, friendly presence. She's house-trained, rides beautifully in the car, and loves the simple joys in life sunbathing, snuggling, and stretching her legs in a secure yard where she can run, zoom, and tap into her playful inner hunter. A puppy at heart, Journey is still figuring out the whole 'toys' thing. She doesn't quite understand fetch yet, but she shows her happiness through gentle, mouthy play and using her paws to interact. She's highly treat-motivated and very smart, which makes training a wonderful opportunity to build trust and deepen your bond together. While her feelings about other animals are still being explored, Journey has more than enough love and personality to be the center of your universe. She thrives in a home where someone is around most of the time and is still building confidence with crate training and being home alone (not her favorite thing). With patience, flexibility, and consistency, she will continue to grow more secure and independent at her own pace. She's currently learning that counters are not for snacks (especially when she thinks no one is watching ����). Her counter surfing is limited to front paws only and is easily managed with supervision, redirection, and keeping tempting items out of reach. Journey can also be a bit mouthy when she's excited, expressing her joy with gentle nips that respond well to consistent training and appropriate outlets. Journey is a lovely work in progress motivated, eager to learn, and full of potential. Her ideal home will offer a fenced yard for exercise, sunbathing, and frequent potty breaks, along with humans who have flexible schedules and enjoy spending time at home and out adventuring together. She feels safest and does her best when she has loving human guidance nearby. If you have a secure fence, a soft bed, and a heart ready to guide a devoted dog toward her best self, Journey is ready to begin her new life with you, and she promises to love you every step of the way. As part of Journey's $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
