Name: Lumina Breed: Rez dog - cattle dog mix Gender: female, post raising puppies, waiting to be spayed Age: 2-3 years Good with dogs (big+small?): was in a pack of 18 dogs, understands pack hierarchy and is deferential to other dogs Good with cats: unknown Good with kids? (If so, what ages): unknown Good with men: fine after she trusts Crate trained/in process of: has traveled in a crate, sleeps in 1/2 a crate, but was trapped so fearful of metal cages, with pups have not pushed it Doggy door trained: no, but would learn easily as we have left a door open and while open she goes outside to potty. Had used pee pads while quarantined and at night. Leash trained: beginning to yield to leash pressure, again she was a free Rez dog and just beginning to learn what it's like to be owned and in a home Knows any tricks: not yet, but lots to learn! Likes: she loves affection and attention, she loves treats, bodes well for future training once she gets the lay of the land in a new home Dislikes: she has fear from being on the Rez in survival mode, so everything is a learning curve Must haves: a kind patient person who understands the transition she is making and can work with that Apartment dog: she loves puttering around the yard, so a yard would be needed for exercise and fun Fun facts: in spite of her nearly feral start in life, she is loving and gentle. She gives kisses freely and can brr ed joyous and bouncy. She has been a great mom and now needs a kind person to love her into being a great companion and house dog! Ideal home: older children who respect animals and can understand what she has been through, she is deferential to other dogs and will warm up when she feels safe, probably would benefit from a mellow companion dog to show her the ropes.
