About Pesto

If anyone is looking for a PRECIOUS Velcro princess, Pesto is your girl! She is currently nine weeks old and about 8-10 pounds. She is expected to be around 40-50 o when full grown. Pesto is a highly curious pup who currently lives in a Knoxville (TN) foster home. She has been with us for approximately three weeks and it's been epically fun watching Pesto and her sister grow and learn each day. They have worked hard (sometimes a little TOO hard�'�|lol) to become friends with their foster siblings pictured below. Pesto will definitely need constant supervision when around older dogs. She is a confident cutie and sidles right up to a big dog whether totally welcome or not. Ha! Pesto has weaned herself off of puppy food. She stole her foster sibling's food enough times that we finally just obliged. Pesto currently enjoys approximately three small meals per day followed by a very rough playtime with sister before passing out for a quick nap. Then she wakes up and is ready to do it all over again! This girl is a tug-o-war champion so be ready to wrestle! She's also partial to a game of chase so don't hesitate to run around with her outside! Overall, she couldn't be much of a cutie pie than she is. Whoever adopts this girl, will get a soulmate for sure. Pesto is doing well with crate training but potty training has been a struggle despite her sister picking it up more quickly. She will need someone patient and willing to continue the routine until she gets it 100%. This should not deter the right parent for Pesto! She is a very, very smart girl who WILL get it, but just needs a little more practice.
