I'm Reese. I Got Bullied in My Last Home. I Still Believe in Second Chances. I'm a one-year-old Shepherd-Corgi mix with big ears, short legs, and a soft heart that's still figuring things out. I'm spayed, housebroken, crate-trained, and fully vaccinated. I'm sweet. I'm playful. I'm cuddly. I'm also still healing. I was returned from my first home after being bullied by the resident dog. I didn't fight back. I didn't lash out. I just shut down a little. Since then, I've been more cautious around dogs. Not reactive, just unsure. I might do well with a calm dog in time, but right now, I need a space where I don't have to look over my shoulder. I'm still young. I love people. I love affection. I'm silly and sweet once I feel safe. I zoom around the yard and flop over for belly rubs like nothing ever happened. But trust takes me a moment now. I don't need loud. I don't need chaos. I need soft voices, steady hands, and someone who doesn't mind going slow. I'm currently in California, but if you're in Illinois and approved, I can get to Naperville. I just need the right place to land. I'm Reese. I've been let down once. I'm still hoping someone out there knows how to show me what real love feels like. If that's you, I'm ready.
