TISSUE ALERT--STORY OF A MOTHER'S LOVE Meet Bruna. She was found outside a convenience store in Arkansas. She had a malnourished appearance, clearly recently had puppies and despite efforts to save her, she eluded them for a month. She was finally rescued and the hunt began for her puppies. No luck. So they brought her to Animal Control 3 miles away and she was put in a very secure kennel, or so they thought. In the morning she was gone. They had no idea how such a malnourished dog had escaped. Back they go to where they found her, 3 miles away and observed.....they let her lead them to her puppies. They were living in an abandoned house. The rescuers carefully got out of their car, so not to scare her, but she trotted right over wanting head rubs and proudly displayed all of her puppies...10 of THEM!!!!! All happy and healthy. The rest is history...... More on the puppies soon but let's get this beautiful, sweet Mamma a furever home here in Massachusetts. She is gentle and loving, sleeps inside without issue and is potty trained. Shepherd mix, 65 pounds. Will be spayed before traveling north.
