About Goggles

Meet Goofy, Sweet Goggles!!! Goggles (#A2237959) is a wiggly, happy one-year-old, 58 lb. pup who's easily one of the biggest lovebugs at the shelter. He'll romp around and chase a ball, but the second you kneel down, he drops everything to press his whole body into you like he's asking you to stay just a little longer. When you sit with him, Goggles leans in for booty scratches and TLC, then melts against you with these soft, grateful eyes that make it really hard to walk him back to his kennel. He generally walks nicely on leash and takes treats very gently from your hand. Ans while he can get a little jumpy when excited, he corrects easily and will only get better with simple, consistent daily training. A few weeks ago, Goggles took part in our holiday pack walk and was a rock star. He rode calmly in the car, was relaxed during the walk around 20+ dogs, and loved meeting new people. At the shelter, Goggles has been in multiple playgroups and is gaining confidence every week. He initially started out doing best with females. But his current notes describe him as social, gentle & dainty, high energy, playful, and steerable in his interactions. He came in as a stray on 10/14/25 with injuries to his face and right front leg, but even when he was hurting, he couldn't have been sweeter-he still leaned in for love and just wanted to be close. There's something especially tender about a dog who has every reason to shut down but chooses to trust and love instead.
