About DAISY

DAISY is a 7 year old, 12.2 pound Pomeranian surrendered to us to find a new home. All signs point to DAISY dreaming of a calm, loving home, ideally with a lap to call her very own, where she can soak up affection, nap comfortably, and be someone's cherished companion. DAISY is a sweet, low-energy girl who is ready for a quieter, loving chapter of life. She is affectionate and friendly, enjoys being petted, and will even offer her paw for attention. She attaches quickly and seeks comfort from her person, making her a wonderful companion dog. During the day, she enjoys lounging on the sofa, and at night she prefers sleeping in bed with her person. DAISY has done very well with other small dogs in her foster home. She peacefully coexists with two resident dogs, and everyone shares the bed at night without issue. We have not had her around kids and don't think she would be happy in a home with younger children but she might be fine with older kids. We have not had her around cats since she's been in rescue. Potty training is still a work in progress for DAISY. She is taken outside on a regular schedule but still has some accidents in the house. With a good routine and patience, she should continue to improve. She is not leash trained and has been resistant to walking on a leash. For now, we are looking for a home with a fenced yard. DAISY is up to date on shots, spayed, had a dental (she lost several bad teeth), is heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. Important - check your spam folder for follow up questions and responses from our team. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola). We do not ship or transport our dogs.
