About Brooks

Brooks - 85 lbs | Energetic, Affectionate, People-Oriented Brooks is a happy, outgoing Bloodhound with a playful spirit and a very affectionate nature. He bonds closely with his people and loves interaction-especially belly and ear rubs. If you stop petting him, he'll gently lift his paw as a polite reminder that he's not done yet. He is energetic and curious, true to the Bloodhound breed, and would thrive in a home with space to move, explore, and follow his nose. When his physical and mental needs are met, Brooks settles nicely and is calm and relaxed indoors. He enjoys routine and does best when his day has structure. Brooks is cooperative and easy to handle for grooming. He is calm during baths, ear cleanings, and tooth brushing at home, and he enjoys engaging with toys and interactive play with his people. He's excellent with children and have done very well with my 9-year-old son. Their behavior with toddlers or very young children is unknown. He would do best in a home with a secure, fenced yard where he can safely enjoy off-leash time and burn energy.
