Socks Needs a Foster or Adopter by Saturday 1/10 to Secure His Ride to Wisconsin Socks is currently stuck in an Arkansas kill shelter and must have a foster or adopter to secure his spot on the transport truck to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Without a home commitment, he won't be able to make the trip to safety. Meet Socks Socks is just a baby with his whole life ahead of him. This 5-month-old Boxer mix has so much love to give and is ready to grow up in a home where he can feel secure and cherished. Socks is a happy, friendly, typical puppy - playful, affectionate, and full of curiosity. He loves people and is great with dogs, cats, and kids, making him a wonderful fit for many types of families. At just 20 lbs, he's still growing and learning, but his sweet personality already shines through. As a young pup, Socks is eager to learn and will thrive with guidance, consistency, and lots of love. He's already neutered and ready to head north as soon as he has a foster or adopter lined up. Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
