FOSTER ONLY Age: 10 years (Senior) approximate Location: Springtown, TX (foster/adopter must be within 2-3 hours of Dallas/Fort Worth) Hearty Paws is looking for a FOSTER for this wonderful pup. Sammy is a gentle, sweet senior boy looking for a soft place to land and enjoy his golden years. He was previously adopted into a loving home, but due to circumstances beyond his control-his adopter needing to focus on her own health-Sammy is now in need of a foster home. Sammy has a calm, low-energy personality with occasional goofy moments that will make you smile. He enjoys the company of other dogs and will sometimes engage in a short game of chase, but he's just as happy relaxing nearby. One of his favorite things is giving 'hugs' by resting his head on your shoulder. Sammy's highlights: -Great with kids -Good with other dogs -Cats unknown -Low-energy and easygoing -Does not counter surf -Minimal licking, but a champion drooler As a senior, Sammy has some typical age-related needs. He has arthritis and may occasionally have potty accidents, which are manageable with routine and understanding. He would do best in a home that appreciates seniors and is willing to provide comfort, patience, and love. Sammy has overcome some tough luck in his past and is in need of a foster home.
