About Spartacus

Spartacus (Sparty for short) is available for adoption from Ohio, willing to drive multiple states away for the best home for him. I cannot keep him anymore due to personal health issues and living situation changes. He is very good with adult women and adult men (after introductions.) He currently lives with a cat and gets along very well with her and visits a home with a cat and gets along well with her too. He will chase down chickens if off-leash. He will not run away, he's very attached to people rather than wanting to explore so he's not a flight risk. Sparty loves playing with tennis balls and running/playing in the snow! He loves cuddling on the bed but will sleep on the floor because he gets too hot on bedding. He is not crate trained, but does not destroy or have accidents at all when humans are out of the house. He will just sleep by the door until you get home. He cannot play with other dogs when there are toys/food/water present as he resource guards. Playing with other dogs: he does well with small dogs, but not big dogs. No dog parks unless there are no other dogs there. Sparty would do well in a home with only adults/older children as children scare him. He eats Purina Pro Plan Large Breed Adult Shredded chicken blend. He has a cot he likes to take naps on and loves fans. Up-to-date on all vaccines, neutered, and will provide all medical records and his microchip and AKC registration. His breeder will not take him back due to her having children in the home.
