About Aria

I'm Aria. I Just Need a Gentle Place to Land. I'm one year old. Rhodesian Ridgeback and hound mix. About 53 pounds. I'm spayed, housebroken, and vaccinated. What I really want is a person who gets me. I don't rush in. I'm not the kind of dog who charges across the yard to throw myself into your arms. I need to pause. I need to read the room. I need to know you're safe. I've been nervous before, and I'm still learning that not everyone is going to leave or hurt me. So I take a second. Maybe two. Then, once I know you're kind, once I feel like I can let go, I lean in. That's when I show you who I really am. I smile. I flop onto my back for belly rubs. I follow you from room to room just to be near you. I become the kind of dog who sticks close and loves hard. I like other dogs. I'm good with kids. I haven't met a cat yet, but I have a soft personality and a willingness to learn. I don't need noise or pressure or big expectations. I just need someone calm and patient, someone who leads with kindness. If that's you, I'll give you all of me. Not right away. But fully, once I know I can. I'm Aria. I'm ready for love. Just not in a hurry.
