About ZEUS

***NEEDS FOSTER or FOREVER HOME*** Currently in Boise boarding kennels Meet ZEUS ! He is an affectionate, people-loving, 45-lb, 12-year-old male pitbull mix who is looking for a quiet, stable home willing to provide comfort care after all that he has endured. Despite his past, he is friendly, loving and deeply human-oriented. ZEUS walks well on a loose leash. He even 'checks-in' with his handler (see video). ZEUS is enjoying off-leash big doggy playgroups at his boarding kennel. He seems happy with all the attention that he receives from the staff and volunteers. He loves treats, food, and toys. ZEUS was lucky to be in a foster home to recover from neuter surgery. We learned that he is housetrained, cratetrained, and sleeps through the night. He loves exploring new smells around the house or on walks. He loves peanut butter so can pass the time in his crate with a lick mat. He's fine with other resident dogs, but best to feed them and treat them separately as he has a starvation background. ZEUS should be fine in any calm home including respectful kids. He would be ideal for an older couple too! He doesn't need much exercise. ZEUS is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines for his forever family. They both received emergency medical care for starvation, dehydration, and other complications from prolonged neglect. Despite all they've endured, they are gentle, soft-natured, and incredibly sweet.
