About Little

Hi, my name is Lucky, though I usually go by Little because of how tiny I was when my foster parents took over my care. I am a special-needs Schipperke dog looking for a compassionate, understanding home. I was born with a cleft palate and was rejected by my mom, so my foster parents became my parents and bottle-fed me around the clock-just like a human baby. Because of this, I am incredibly sweet-natured and form very strong bonds with people. I love humans of all ages, including children and babies, and I get along very well with other dogs. My disability means I can't eat wet food (dry food only), and I need some simple monitoring to make sure food doesn't get trapped in my cleft palate and cause irritation or infection. I also had a broken leg as a puppy, which healed but left me with a slight limp. Aside from these quirks, I am a happy, healthy dog who just needs a loving home that understands my needs and is willing to give me the care and attention I deserve.
