About Fisher

Fisher is a 2-year-old, 45 lb bundle of love and loyalty with a story that'll tug at your heart. Rescued in Houston, this brave boy spent over a year and a half surviving on the streets. During that time, he endured more than his fair share-attacked by other dogs, bitten by a snake, and even hit by a car. Despite it all, Fisher has held onto his gentle soul and blossomed in foster care. Since settling into his foster home, Fisher has discovered the simple joys of life-sunbathing, squeaky toys, playing in the yard, going for walks, and lounging in the pool. He's especially fond of cuddles and has a strong protective instinct for the women he loves. Fisher is doing wonderfully with potty and leash training and continues to make progress every day. While he's still a bit wary of strangers-especially men-he's not aggressive, just cautious. With time, patience, and kindness, he learns to trust and bonds deeply. Fisher would thrive in a calm home where he can feel safe and cherished. He's looking for a patient adopter who can continue helping him gain confidence and give him the love he's always deserved. Fisher is located in Houston, TX, but he can be transported to most states for a $300 fee.
