Meet Joy If you are looking for the sweetest, friendliest, happiest, silliest, most joyful and adorable pup, you must meet Joy! We rescued Joy from a high kill shelter. This beautiful girl has had a rough life filled with abuse. Thankfully, we were able to get her out of the high kill shelter in time. Since coming to our no kill shelter, she has been nothing short of happy. Joy is four years old. She looks to be an American bulldog/boxer mix. She is medium size. Joy loves everyone she meets. She loves adults, children and she loves dogs. She has a calm and steady demeanor that we think she'll be okay with cats too, but we can test her. Joy is an easy leash walker, no pulling, just simple strolling. She loves sniffing and takes her time to enjoy all the goodness and kindness out there. Joy travels well. She loves pets and scratchies. Joy holds no grudges and is grateful for every gentle pet and attention she receives. If you are looking for a Velcro dog, a loving and happy companion to walk through your days with and share your life, Joy is an absolute gem. She will enjoy long walks or hikes, lunches with friends, a comfy couch to watch TV, a sunny porch to enjoy the scenery and the quiet companionship of her person. We have fallen so in love with this pup. Whoever adopts this pretty girl with the soulful eyes (one brown and one blue) and speckled ears will be so lucky. Joy will be spayed before going home and will have a thorough vet check to make sure she is in good health. Get your application in for Joy if you are looking for the dog of a lifetime. She will be a wonderful addition to any home. Get your application in for Joy at www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Please email our shelter ([email protected]) and leave a message to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
