911 URGENT! HARLEY NEEDS A HERO! This is one of the most heartbreaking pleas we've ever had to make. Why do people wait until the very last minute and think a shelter is the solution? What about the dog- the loyal family member who did nothing wrong? When did they become disposable? Harley, a 1.5-year-old Basenji/Australian Kelpie mix with the purest heart, lost everything she knows when her family moved and couldn't take her. She was going to be dumped at the shelter if help didn't come in time. Thankfully, a temporary foster stepped up but only until January 14th. That gives us LESS THAN TWO WEEKS to save her life. We cannot let this sweet girl walk through shelter doors she may never walk out of. She doesn't deserve this. She has SO much love still to give. We are BEGGING for an URGENT FOSTER or FOREVER HOME. Harley's life depends on it. Meet Harley: Harley is a young soul who believes every person she meets is a new best friend. She is full of joy, love, and personality. 1.5 years old. Spayed Fully vaccinated. Microchipped. Housebroken Harley is an absolute crack up- she LOVES to 'talk' to you and will happily carry on a conversation, talking right back with her adorable Basenji-style chatter. She will keep you laughing and smiling every single day. She gets along beautifully with all dogs- big or small and loves to play. Yes, she's great with cats too- gentle, respectful, and sweet. She's been around children and did wonderfully. Harley LOVES people. All people. Her tail never stops wagging. She walks well on leash, learns quickly, and just wants to be close to her human whether that's playing in the yard or curling up for cuddles. She is truly one of those once-in-a-lifetime dogs. THIS IS LIFE OR DEATH. Losing her home was not Harley's fault, but she will pay the price if we don't act fast. We cannot let her become another innocent life lost.
