About Aurora

Young orange smoke female, long silky hair , low energy and very laid back-back. She mostly naps or watches birds , not very active. Will do best in quiet household with low stressors, she is doing ok in the company of my old male cat ( also low energy and non dominant) but could not handle my other young dominant male and gets stressed which resulted in going outside the box. This issue resolved when separated from dominant cat and given fluoxetine so it was purely stress-induced, but I will have to rehome her in order for her to thrive. She was a rescue that got surrendered to my son when her previous owner moved out of college and I cared for her for the last 6 months . She is very sweet, quiet, docile and keeps to herself , but climbs onto my chest if the house is quiet and purrs for a while; she is also greeting at the door and very treat - motivated. She never bit or scratched me or my children, and lets you brush fur and clip nails. She was vet- checked twice and up to date on rabies, no health issues , will give contact info for the vet when adopted. She eats most foods fine. Before my house she was in the company of a young dog and did fine. I hope she can find a quiet household where she could be an only cat or have a non-dominant gentle companion cat or dog. She does not want to be an outdoor cat and will not willingly stay outside but will make a great cat even for a small calm apartment. Adoption fee covers some of med care received by her and her toys/ blankets / things/ carrier that will convey with her .
