Meet Walrus (aka Wally) ~2 years old | 20 pounds | Shepherd face + dachshund body = instant joy If you've ever wondered what would happen if a German shepherd accidentally got issued a dachshund body allow us to introduce Walrus, lovingly known as Wally. He's got a serious shepherd face on a short, hilarious body - and yes, it's just as delightful as it sounds. Wally landed at the shelter as a stray, and while there, it was discovered he had a congenital condition called hypospadias (a plumbing issue he was born with). He underwent corrective surgery and did wonderfully, but after surgery he needed something the shelter couldn't provide: a soft place to land and recover. That's where The Misfit Ranch stepped in. %BD%BDͻ Wally was rescued and placed into a loving foster home, where he has been healing beautifully, soaking up the good life, and showing us exactly what a special little guy he is. Now that he's recovered, he's ready for his forever home. At about 2 years old and a perfectly petite 20 pounds, Wally is friendly, playful, and full of personality. He loves snuggling on the couch, going on walks, and enthusiastically chowing down on snackies (his favorite hobby). He's lived with multiple dogs and done well, and he's also been friendly when meeting children - but he doesn't need other dogs or kids in his home to be happy. What he really wants is his person. Wally is a spunky little dude with a huge heart packed into a short, unforgettable body. We don't know much about his past, but we know this: he's loving the couch life, thriving in foster care, and ready to bring laughter, cuddles, and joy to a home of his own. If you're looking for a dog who will make you smile every single day, Walrus is waiting.
