IN GRAVE DANGER KILL / EUTHANASIA COMMAND A Hail Mary plea for Siren a broken-hearted, gentle soul running out of time. Siren walked into the shelter already grieving. She had a loving home, a family, a parent she adored until age, illness, and loss changed everything. When her elderly owner passed away, the caretaker who once comforted her, sadly brought her to Queens ACC. Not because she did anything wrong but because no one else stepped up. Now she waits behind bars mourning the only life she ever knew in a very scary place . And yet through the heartbreak, the noise, the fear-Siren is still sweet. Only one week in the shelter and she's already rolling in the play yard, offering her paw, showing off her commands like a proud little student waiting for praise. She knows sit, stay, come, paw, move, lay down, roll over and every time someone smiles back at her, her eyes soften just a little more. She is house & crate trained, good for baths, loves car rides, walks 20-30 minutes 1-2x a day, and is incredibly treat-motivated. She lived with toddlers ages 1 & 2 and was tolerant, playful, gentle, and loving with them. She has NO bite history, and friends describe her as a sweet, active, tri-color mixed breed beauty who just wants to be where her people are the living room, the couch, the heart of the home. BE But the shelter is breaking her spirit. She is now showing kennel stress barking, lunging at the glass when dogs pass, teeth-baring from fear not aggression. This is grief + trauma + overstimulation, the panic of a dog who lost everything at once and now smells and senses the sadness around her. She needs OUT before the shelter steals her smile forever.
