Great Dane

LOCATION: Barry, Texas DOB: 10/2019 Meet Blue and Daisy, a bonded pair of Great Dane girls who are looking for a home where they can stay together and continue being the constant companions they are to each other. These two are warm, friendly, and genuinely enjoy being around people. They've met plenty of new faces and consistently do well, greeting everyone with calm curiosity and affection. Blue is the quieter, more laid-back of the two. She is deaf and can be a bit skittish at first, which is why staying with Daisy is so important for her confidence. Once she feels safe, Blue is just like any other loving dog-sweet, playful, and happiest when she's close to her people. She loves to run and play outside and has a funny habit of collecting stuffed animals from the kids' rooms and relocating them around the house. So far, the toys have survived the adventure intact. Blue is learning commands and is making good progress, though if she's focused on following an interesting scent, she may miss a cue. She's strong and athletic, so she'll need someone who can comfortably handle her on leash if she decides something is worth investigating. When it's time to rest, Blue prefers a couch or a human bed and will only choose a dog bed if there are no better options. Daisy is more confident, strong-willed, and very devoted to her people. She tends to follow Blue around outside, but if something catches her eye, she's likely to head toward it with purpose. Daisy loves being physically close to her humans and often settles in by resting her head on someone she trusts. At night, Blue and Daisy usually sleep together on a bed, often in the kids' room, and they've done wonderfully with children around 10 years old. Overall, they are good with kids over five who can respect their size. Both girls are estimated to be between two and three years old, with a more exact age hopefully coming soon. Blue is fully housetrained, while Daisy is nearly there, with just a couple of recent accidents. They are very attached to each other and function best as a pair. Daisy is not a good fit for a home with small dogs, and while Blue's tolerance is less certain, a small-dog household would not be recommended. They have chased a cat up a tree, so a cat-free home would be best unless someone is very experienced with slow, structured introductions. Blue and Daisy would thrive in a home that understands giant breeds, can manage strong dogs, and values close companionship. They are affectionate, people-oriented, and happiest when they can be near their humans and each other. For the right home, these two offer double the loyalty, double the presence, and a wonderfully steady kind of love. ========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .
