Meet Candy! ��%8D� Age: 1.5 years �'ۢ Weight: 14 lbs �'ۢ Breed: Dachshund / Chi mix Candy may be shy at first, but once she settles in, she's a whole vibe! Her coloring comes from her dachshund side, while her long legs are pure Chi energy. She has a big, loving personality, is playful, and bonds hard with her people. She loves other dogs, and a home with another dog her size and a secure fenced yard is required - a companion her size will help her feel confident and playful. Cute Quirk: Candy is crazy about her tennis balls and will play with them by herself, running and hopping like a tiny deer. ��%90%BE Not-So-Great Habits: She's still working on leash training and may bark or howl when someone comes home. She jumps when excited but is learning to calm down. Training Snapshot: Leash Manners: Work in progress; can be shy and may hide in her crate during harness time. House Trained: Yes! No accidents. Crate Trained: Yes, very good - her crate is her safe space. Dog Door Trained: Yes! She knows exactly how to use it. Door Dasher: Will try to be first out, but no other attempts to escape. Jumper: Excited, but manageable with guidance. Car Manners: Nervous, but does well in a travel crate. Motivation: Food, toys, praise - she loves all rewards! Personality & Best Home: Candy is shy with new people and may hide or bark at first. She needs a patient family willing to give her time to feel safe. A home with another dog her size and a secure fenced yard is required. Once she settles in, Candy is playful, affectionate, and the happiest girl you could imagine. She loves snuggling, playing, and following her person everywhere - she's a total shadow once she trusts you. ���� Requirements: ��%90%BE Another dog in the home (required!) ��%90%BE Securely fenced yard (required!) ��%90%BE Patient family to give her time and love ��%90%BE Adoption Info: All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped prior to adoption. Our requirements are non-negotiable and include the following: All current pets in the home must be spayed or neutered if over 6 months of age, unless there is a documented medical exemption with veterinary confirmation. All current dogs must be up to date on Rabies and Distemper/Parvo (DHPP) vaccinations. All current dogs must be on consistent, consecutive heartworm prevention. Past dogs listed on the application must also show a consecutive history of heartworm prevention.
