This is a Hail Mary post for sweet senior Bruno that somewhere out there, Bruno's angel is scrolling. A real hero that sees him ! A human who will look at this gray-muzzled, blanket-nuzzling senior and whisper: 'Yes. You are safe with me now.' Bruno has an active euthanasia command at Queens ACC. Meaning he will take his last walk down the hallway and be euthanized. Not because he isn't loved but because the shelter system is overly crowded. The dogs there can smell it. They can sense when others are led away and never return. The noise, the stress, the trauma of losing everything they ever knew it's a world no dog should endure, especially not a senior boy who only wants peace and love. Bruno was surrendered because his guardian became medically fragile and could no longer care for him. That loss broke both their hearts. Now Bruno waits in a place filled with fear, barking, and the heavy scent of goodbye a place where compassion sometimes runs out before hope does. He is described by the volunteers as A senior, sensitive, sometimes shy boy A couch-potato, lazy in the cutest way Solitary and calm at his core Most comfortable in quiet spaces like a bedroom, crate, or soft corner A lover of balls, stuffies, toys-and gentle play Blanket-snuggler and nuzzle-expert A dog who has lived with kids of all ages and done well Smart, vocal, FUNNY, and full of personality A boy who proudly shows off his 'tricks' for snacks: Sit, down, up, paw-repeat! A smushy-faced, elf-eared sweetheart who makes volunteers SWOON The shelter recommends an adult-only home , children 13 and up please with no cats, or small animals due to resource guarding. This boy needs experienced hands and a calm environment, not more stress. He needs a safe landing, not another heartbreak. If you can foster or adopt-please hurry . Bruno doesn't have time left for shares alone. He needs ACTION. He needs a home and his miracle. Let 2026 be the year he walks out alive because of one special angel.
