About Soma

Soma is a 5 year old, neutered male, orange and white domestic short-hair, born on a farm in Colorado Springs in 2020. He doesn't get his share of the universal orange cat braincell very often, but he is the sweetest airhead ever. As soon as he was brought home, he latched on to my late lab. She raised him - he really was her cat over any human in the house. After he passed, he's had many dog loves and will MAKE any dog cuddle with him, as long as they don't want to eat him. His love doesn't just stop with dogs. Soma is an expert foster momma. Every time his person brought another litter of foster kittens home, he impatiently waited for them to finish quarantine so he could play with them and clean them. Soma is a sensitive soul. His ideal home would be with someone that has a dog that needs company while their human is working or out of the house. He gets nervous when he's by himself and can't access at least one other being. He's a submissive bean when it comes to other cats, so he gets very nervous with dominant or aggressive cats. He'd much prefer a young cat/kitten to grow with or a dog (or a whole pack!) Soma is the ultimate boy for fosters who needs to socialize their puppies, dogs, or kittens. He's also the ideal candidate to give your lonely dog a companion without the work of another dog to take outside to walk. Soma is looking for a home through no fault of his own. My older cat has cancer and was an only cat for the first 5 years of his life, so Soma's want to interact and play is stressful for him, causing him to lose weight and not be able to maintain it.
