Hello! My name is Athena. I have a story to tell and hopefully find my forever home. My foster mom was told by her human son that a neighbor was not taking care of his dogs. As a matter of fact, the guy said if someone didn't get them, they would starve on the chain outside. Well foster mom would have none of that. She quickly made her way to the house to gather us up. Sadly, she couldn't get there in enough time for my mom and brother, as they passed away. Foster mom took me to her house and bottle fed me a bit more to get the vitamins I was lacking as I was only 2 months old. Fast forward to today, I am healthy and happy 7-month-old Staffordshire XL. I get along with my fur-brothers (cats and dogs). I know how to sit, and I am learning other commands. I am fixed and house broken. I am still a puppy and most of the time have energy, so smaller children I fear I will knock down with my happiness. I do not mean to, but I don't realize how big I am for my age and I want to love them (hence the XL part of me). Yard preferred as I love to play outside with my siblings here playing chase. I am not food aggressive at all and if you have a treat, you have my attention. I will however try and be greedy by pushing one of the other dogs away from their bowl to eat their bow sometimes. I never growl or snarl, just use my bigness to my advantage. What I am looking for- Someone that will love me forever Someone that won't keep me outside (I prefer the sofa with people to cuddle) Someone that will view me at their favorite thing in the world so I will them. Someone that will keep teaching me commands and rules without violence. Negative about me, again I am still a puppy, so I do chew things I am not supposed to. I would need more guidance in that field. Other than that, I think I am a pretty good dog. I am not very picky BUT my foster mom is. She wants to ensure that I go to a good loving home and not tied up outside. She says she is in no hurry and will find the right home for me. (she has been doing rescues for over 20 years, so she knows best). Like I said, she is in no hurry so meets and greetings will be mandatory for anyone seeking to adopt me. Hopefully I sound like a companion that you are seeking or perhaps you know someone looking for a big, kissing, happy, loving, sometimes chewing puppy. Swipe right!
