About Mime Urgent

Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

EUTHANASIA ORDER NO TIME LEFT! This post is a Hail Mary , Beautiful Mime will be killed on Friday , Jan 2nd if her hero does not step forward . In need of a foster or adopter. Not tomorrow. Today is all she has. Her crime? Her owners moved to an apartment that does not allow dogs. Absolutely NO aggression. A human housing problem became a death sentence for an innocent dog. MIME - 2 years old, 45 lbs, Female, Medium Mixed Breed Queens NYC ACC - ID #241511 Black & White, Social, Affectionate, Velcro-dog who loves her people deeply. Before the shelter stole her voice, her family shared this about her: Lived with 3 adults + a 7-year-old child friendly, tolerant, playful, affectionate Lived with 2 resident dogs outgoing, bouncy, fetch-loving, social, playful She was Bitten by a smaller dog in the home (Frenchie) Mime didn't cry, didn't retaliate, didn't react. She simply watched, confused, patient, gentle Housetrained High energy but loving, anxious but innocent, needs routine and calm to thrive Knows cues: sit, wait, come, down, jump up Loves baths, treats taken gently, wiggly, zoomy, toy-friendly Then came kennel hell. The cooped up for most of her days enough to make anybody stressed. Alone, overwhelmed, surrounded by noise, fear, and despair, Mime panicked. She broke out of her crate and ran toward another dog being kenneled a moment of pure barrier-frustration and stress overload. Shelter behavior is NOT real-world behavior. Dogs do not decompose emotionally in cages and then behave the same when they breathe freedom again. They shut down. They explode. They spiral. And then they heal when someone gives them peace. ACC labeled her New Hope Only %BD' because she needs decompression, stability, quiet, love, patience.%BD'The stress in those concrete hallways is beyond anything most of us will ever understand and they smell death. Daily this shelter is putting animals down . But Mime still deserves to live long enough to show us who she really is. She deserves a home where she can finally exhale. A home where a security blanket stays safe in her mouth because she feels secure again. She loves her security blanket the only thing from home she has . Poor Mime is mostly black and statistics sadly show black dogs are euthanized the most, simply for being overlooked. Let's break that statistic and rewrite her story with LOVE instead of loss. PLEASE Be her angel. Foster. Adopt. Share. Pray. Do ANYTHING that gets her SEEN. Because right now, being unseen is what will kill her.
