Hello FCCR friends, I'm Leyla and I'm a sweet 10-year-old, 8-pound Yorkie mix girl with quite the story! I was found all alone outside a bar in southern Florida when a kind Good Samaritan rescued me and contacted FCCR. Now I'm fully vetted, in good health, and ready to find my forever home! I'm a very chill girl who loves to explore the yard and just take in everything around me. I'm good with other dogs and I like to hang out and watch them do their thing - I'm more of an observer than a party animal! I appear to be housebroken when taken outside on a frequent schedule, and I'm fine in a crate and the car. I'm not a big leash walker, but I do okay when needed. Here's a little about my personality: I can be a bit anxious when being picked up, but once I'm cradled in your arms, I really enjoy it. I would be okay with older, dog-savvy children who understand I need a gentle touch and approach. I have not met cats yet but I might be ok since I keep to myself and won't bother them. What I'm really looking for is a calm home where I can chill out with my humans - whether that's lounging on the sofa or quietly exploring the yard.
