Meet Mitzey This stunning girl was found as a small kitten with severely burned pads on her paws. She was treated and cared for by a foster, then came into the safety of our shelter. From the moment we met Mitzey, she had all of our hearts. Mitzey is a Flame Point Siamese mix with pale blue eyes, beautiful apricot markings and a super soft striped tail. This striking beauty loves attention and is such a snuggler. She's actually very hard to photograph because when she sees anyone she just wants to come in for head butts and rubs. She is cat friendly and very sociable. She is ready to find her forever person/family. We're estimating her birthday at around June 1, 2025. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
