Radar is a 45lb approximately 1 year old solid black Dutch shepherd. He is confident and outgoing with very high drive and energy. I am rehoming him because my malinois will not tolerate him. He is very friendly toward people and generally uninterested in other animals. He hasn't been around kids so I do not know how he would do around him, but he can get mouthy and jump when over aroused. With proper management I think he would be fine. He does well in his crate at home and is housebroken. I have done basic obedience, impulse control, treadmill, simple agility, and hunt games with him. He would have high potential for work or performance, but he does poorly with vehicle travel. That said, he has every other quality of a working dog, so he will need a lot of training, exercise, and attention. He does not settle well outside the crate, but may learn as he matures. I will be selective about his new home and check references.
