About ZOEY

Adoption Fee: $300
Yorkie / Maltese
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

ZOEY is a 9 year old, 5.6 pound exquisite little Yorkie mix originally surrendered earlier this year. She was adopted but recently returned because she had developed a skin issue that her adopters were unable to clear up. ZOEY is the SWEETEST little lady who likes nose boops and being held like a football. She wants to be loved all the time and gives that love back 1000%. She lives for belly rubs and kisses and is a perfect companion dog, curling up with you and looking at you adoringly. If she had her way she would live on your lap! She will greet you at the door with joyful barks and tail wags and won't be happy spending a lot of time alone. ZOEY is good with other small dogs and would be happiest in a home with another little dog (or dogs). She has good energy, likes toys, and likes to play with small dogs. She will nap in a dog bed with other dogs and explores the yard with them. She feels like she needs to police dogs who are getting too excited and will bark at them when she thinks they are out of order. She does not like cats and a home with young kids is not a good fit for this little girl. She is very expressive and barks when she's excited and when she wants you to feed her. ZOEY will let you know when she has to go out to potty but if you miss her cues she will potty inside. She usually uses a potty pad, but not always. She loves to go out in the yard if her person is with her, walks on leash, and rides well in the car. We are looking for a home with a fenced yard, but she is way too little to be outside by herself. ZOEY currently sleeps at night in a big fluffy dog bed but she would love to snuggle under the covers with her person all night long! She will not hesitate to jump off the bed though, and she's little, so that's something to think about when considering her sleeping arrangements. ZOEY is up to date on shots, spayed, is heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Her skin has been treated and she just has a few little spots left. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
