Courtesy Posting: HELP!!! X URGENT- Riverside County Shelter, San Jacinto location, So Cal - ID #A1892202 'TEDDY'- SWEET SUPER MIDDLE AGE/ YOUNG SR LISTED AS A 8 YR CHOW/GOLDEN RETRIEVER MIX. PEOPLE AND DOG FRIENDLY, VERY HANDSOME BOY, Pink tongue, may have another spitz breed in him too. AT GREAT RISK IN HIGH KILL SHELTER since 12/16. AVAILABLE TO ADOPT, BUT SHELTER IS OVERFULL and EUTHANIZING ADOPTABLE DOGS AND GIVES LITTLE TIME. WE ARE THEREFORE ALSO DESPERATELY LOOKING FOR A FOSTER AND RESCUE TO SAVE HIS LIFE. RESCUES NEED FOSTERS TO HELP! DEAR TEDDY was found as a stray, chipped to an owner who sadly never replied or reclaimed him. Teddy is said to be 8 years young and weighs 60 lbs. The shelter tell us, 'He does have a kennelmate (ID #A1887324). He has been social with the team and allows interaction. He is missing his eye.' They let us know he was also previously kenneled with #A1886941 and came in with #A1892207 and #A1892208, both dogs were pre-adopted. He has had no negative behavior and can be seen in videos the shelter and volunteers both provided. He loves to be pet, full of smiles, and wants to be loved. Teddy just came his long stray/chip hold on 12/26, and he is expected to become very urgent in this very full shelter as he has been there over a month. Unfortunately, because the shelter is so full, though, he may have little time to be adopted or rescued before he is add to the euthanasia list without warning. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting sweet Teddy, please contact the shelter immediately by calling (951) 358-7387 and reference his applicable ID and also use his listing link to express interest: https://24petconnect.com/DetailsMain/RVSD3/A1892202 If you are interested just to foster, or foster to adopt, or if you need further help, please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network asap as we are trying to find fosters we can then refer to a rescue group to save him in time. There is also a chance he could be fostered through the shelter if you are local, or we could pair you with a rescue group to assist with this as a foster if you are further away (but not too far from a willing rescue). If you are a rescue group and interested in pulling this handsome guy, please email the shelter right away at: [email protected] and call (951) 358-7302.
